Post Modernism Case Study

Post Modernism is a theory made by Jean Baudrillard, the theory suggests that nothing is original in the media where everything is a copy of a copy. There are lots of products in the media which has hyper-reality and heightened reality. Heightened Reality is a reality the media showed which exaggerates reality in the shows like adding music and commentary. While Hyperreality is a media simulation that shows everything is real but it controls what we think and how we behave.

Examples of Heightened reality can be sports coverage, like the premier league by star sports network. Premier League is a football league where there are teams playing to win a trophy. This is considered a Heightened reality where football in the show is heightened with music and commentary.

An example of Hyperreality can be a scripted reality, like the WWE. WWE by peacock tv network. WWE is a show about people wrestling but unlike the premier league, WWE is scripted and people who watch the show will think is real but the show controls what we think and how we behave. Another example of hyperreality is Augmented reality, augmented reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view.

An example of Augmented reality is Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted. Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted is a 2019 virtual reality survival horror video game developed by Steel Wool Studios and published by ScottGames. It is the eighth main game in the Five Nights at Freddy's series and the ninth installment overall, following Ultimate Custom Night. It is considered an augmented reality because the environment of the VR is a horror game and the person playing it can feel like they are in Five nights at Freddy which makes it augmented reality
